DRE School Applications are accepted only for scheduled classes. Applications must be approved by the State Coordinator.  You will be notified if your application has been approved. A link to the appropriate application is provided in the class listing. Currently scheduled classes are listed below.

December 7 & 8 Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE)
Westchester Police Academy, 2 Dana Road, Valhalla, NY
The training is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 23 & 24 Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE)
East Avon Fire Department, 1615 West Henrietta Road, Avon, NY
The training is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

February 6 - 17 Drug Recognition Expert Training (DRE) - Phase 1
Ontario County Safety Training Facility, 2914 County Road 48, Canandaigua, New York 14424
Students who successfully complete Phase 1 will be sent to Jacksonville, FL for Phase 2 in mid-March 2017 for Field Certification Training.

The DRE School application must be received by November 9, 2016.

March 22 Mandatory Yearly DRE Recertification Training
Region #1
Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, 19 Tucker Drive, Poughkeepsie, NY
The training is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Bring your DRE Bag and a fully charged tablet.
See the course description, requirements and necessary forms to participate in DRE Recertification Training. The mandatory yearly training session is being offered to any DRE who needs to attend 8 hours of training for 2017. If you plan to attend, please contact the State Coordinator via email. You will receive a confirmation email to attend this course. IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND! This year you will conduct a full 12 step evaluation. If you need to recertify within the next six months and your paperwork is complete, you may bring it with you.

March 28 Mandatory Yearly DRE Recertification Training
